Wise men adored and
worshipped Him. Shepherds adored Him. "And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger." (Luke 2:16) We can thank Him and adore Him for salvation. "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." (I Peter 2:24) We can adore Him for what He is doing for us now. "For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us." (Hebrews 9:24) We adore Him as we await His own promise of His sure return for all those redeemed by His own precious blood. "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, . . . But with the precious blood of Christ, . . . "(I Peter 1:18,19) "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:3) -M. |
